Grand Merit Award

Recognizing their unprecedented humanitarian efforts in helping more than 50,000 people escape cycles of homelessness, joblessness, addiction, and other crises by offering holistic support and solutions all in one place, at City of Refuge.

Mandy
Presented to

Mandy Harvey

Impact Humanitarian Award

Recognizing her extraordinary humanitarian work, with a strong focus on disability inclusion, advocacy for the deaf and disabled communities, and using her music and platform to inspire and uplift others facing challenges. Mandy serves as an ambassador for No Barriers USA and the Invisible Disabilities Association. She releases American Sign Language (ASL) music videos to make her music accessible to the deaf and hard-of-hearing communities, and she mentors at organizations like Feel the Magic.

Patriot Humanitarian Award

Recognizing his renowned humanitarian efforts through CreatiVets, a non-profit organization he co-founded to help wounded veterans recover from post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries using art, music, and creative writing. CreatiVets has empowered hundreds of veterans across the United States with programs designed to foster self-expression, healing, and community connection through creative disciplines.​

Brisa De Angulo

Quintessential Humanitarian Award

Recognizing her transformative humanitarian efforts impacting lives directly through survivor services and on a systemic level through policy, legal precedent, and international advocacy. Brisa is a Bolivian lawyer, psychologist, and internationally-recognized human rights activist dedicated to fighting childhood sexual violence and supporting its survivors through both direct services and legal reform. As a survivor herself, she founded “A Breeze of Hope”, Bolivia’s first center for child survivors of sexual abuse, at age 17 in 2004. Since its inception, her organization has provided free legal, psychological, social, and medical support to thousands of child and adolescent survivors—serving over 500 children and adolescents every year in Bolivia.​

Rock Star Youth Award

Recognizing him for his heroic act in 2020 when, at six years old, he shielded his younger sister from a dog attack in Wyoming, risking his own life and sustaining serious injuries in the process. Since then, his family and supporters have used the widespread attention to promote humanitarian efforts and charitable giving, particularly benefiting children and veterans.​​

Eddah Wanyoike

Exemplary Humanitarian Award

Recognizing her active humanitarian and philanthropic work, particularly in Florida and Africa. As Mrs. Florida America 2025, she uses her platform to advocate for various social causes, often highlighting her African roots and commitment to making a difference. Eddah has played key roles in charity art galas that raised significant funds for causes like pediatric cancer support and providing solar power to a Maasai village. Her efforts extend to initiatives empowering children, such as work with the Child Hope Foundation, Kids Beating Cancer, Runway to Hope, The Yadery, The Ripple Project, Victoria’s Voice Foundation, Uncovered, the Film, StandUp Survivors, Nathaniel’s Hope, and more.

Nick Nanton

Rock Star Humanitarian Award

Recognizing his widely impactful humanitarian work, primarily through producing and directing documentaries that highlight and support important social causes. Nanton’s filmography includes projects for a wide range of nonprofit organizations, many of which focus on issues such as human trafficking, disaster relief, military families, veterans, human rights, mental health, education, literacy, animal-assisted therapy, and more.​ Nick’s films have helped these causes raise more than $100 million to further their missions.
